I set the pieces aside in a pile out of the way for a while so we could touch up paint on our ceiling so i numbered the pieces to make sure i put them back in the right spot. And am thinking i might have to order one more box and pay full fare for it. Dean and i should know we ve created one in each of our last two houses. And i m in love with how it turned out for him.

I had to trim some flooring to fit. I had to opt for adding two rows with one long and one short board. Choose the flooring pieces to cover the size of headboard. Overhang or elevate the headboard so that you can center the 2x4 top piece on the headboard with a 1 2 inch overhang on all sides.

And those white washed vertical stripes along one side really give the headboard a little pop of texture. Apply glue to the top of the headboard. I was short one board using full length boards. I found one lonely box of this exact flooring special order return and fell deeply in love.

But i love love love the way yours looks and am now that much more inspired to get mine put together. I too plan to make a headboard with it but i keep trying to figure out how to stretch the 7 boards. I decided to go for it i had nothing to lose. Aug 24 2016 made with pergo flooring available only at lowes attached to plywood backing. Nail every six to eight inches with 2 inch nails. This picture is from a dry fit to see if i like it. This wood plank headboard is a lot more boy ish than a traditional headboard and let me tell you a lot cheaper than buying something fancy from the furniture store.
