The magic carpet game is a fun and exciting group game where all members of the group climb on the magic carpet and try to flip it to the other side by any means and without touching the ground. Describe the beautiful scenery rushing by. Typical presentation storyline or metaphor your group is on a magic carpet ride high above the fields of the surrounding countryside. Once everyone is settled tell the group they are going on a magic carpet ride and have just risen 100 feet into the air but unfortunately the directions to steer and land are on the other side of the carpet.

The magic carpet teambuilding activity is easy to lead and requires simple and easy to obtain props. Once everyone is settled advise the group that they are going on a magic carpet ride. Instruct the group to stand on the carpet tarp sheet. But then the group realizes that the magic carpet has no steering wheel and only goes one direction if they want to get back home they need to flip the carpet over to go the other way.
